On December 23, 2025, LEBAJICA had the honor of meeting with Mr. TOYOMA Kei, Director General for the Middle East and Europe Department at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), during his brief visit to Lebanon. The meeting was held at the Rotana Gefinor Hotel lounge in Beirut.
Seizing this valuable opportunity, LEBAJICA representatives engaged with Mr. Toyoma to present the association’s mission, history, and ongoing alumni-led projects. The discussion highlighted LEBAJICA’s leading role in strengthening cultural, educational, and professional ties between Japan and Lebanon, as well as its long-standing contribution to fostering mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries.
In turn, Mr. Toyoma showcased JICA’s activities and initiatives across the Arab states, sharing insights into the agency’s regional priorities and strategic vision. The meeting also explored potential avenues for collaboration, with a focus on promoting Lebanon and elevating its position within JICA’s global agenda.
The exchange reflected a shared commitment to dialogue, partnership, and future cooperation, reaffirming the importance of alumni networks and institutional collaboration in advancing sustainable development and international relations between Lebanon and Japan.
